The popular morning show Good Morning America recently showcased the effectiveness of the MyZone system during a segment titled GMA: Debate Stress Test: Is the Election Stressing You Out?
Reporter Mara Schiavocampo asked a group of 10 volunteers to watch the final presidential debate together and self-report their stress levels from one to 10 (10 being most stressful) via an app called LifeData. The volunteers also wore MyZone heart rate monitors to further gauge their heart rate during the debate.

Good Morning America contacted the company early last week about being featured on the segment.
“It was great that MyZone was chosen as the trusted heart rate monitoring system for a national audience and for such an important event,” said Nick Beale, vice president of operation for MyZone, in a press release.

The MyZone live feed showed that as stress levels rose while the volunteers watched the debate, so did their heart rates. The rise in heart rate took place as volunteers were talking and/or disputing with one another about what was being discussed during the debate. A rise in heart rate also took place for volunteers who just listened to the debate and/or their peers talking.
The MyZone system works by having members wear a heart-rate monitoring belt that sends their readings to screens in real-time. Through a series of personalized, color-coded tiles, users always know precisely what heart-rate zone they are in at any given moment during their workout, allowing them to put in optimum effort to obtain maximum results.
AMP Fitness was the first training facility in Northeast Ohio to offer MyZone, so we have known for a while the benefits of the system. To learn more, give us a call at 216-831-3674 or email us at info@ampfitness.com.
